Sensitive Data Donation

The Sensitive Data Donation approach is a digital-trace data donation approach informed by the principles of Data Feminism. It was developed and applied in intimate research contexts, such as the home and the body, which are inherently private and situated spaces where exploring and negotiating people’s relationships with their data is crucial.

Sensitive Data Donation aims to empower donors to know and care for their digital-trace data and promotes different forms of knowledge and participation. It is supported by a digital data donation platform where donors can encounter their data, autonomously explore it, and decide whether to donate it to a research project.
